Implementation of Activities
Maumere, August 20, 2026 — Yayasan PAPHA Indonesia, together with the CSO Forum, distributed food packages to 100 beneficiaries affected by the earthquake on August 15, 2026.
Background
The earthquake that occurred on August 15, 2026, affected several communities, including vulnerable groups who require support during the emergency response period. As part of its commitment to supporting affected communities, Yayasan PAPHA Indonesia, together with the CSO Forum, distributed essential food supplies to beneficiaries across several areas.
Beneficiaries
The assistance was provided to 100 beneficiaries, consisting of:
- Persons with Psychosocial Disabilities (ODDP)
- Caregivers
- Mental Health Cadres (Keswa)
The beneficiaries were located across several areas, including:
- Madawat Village
- Kota Uneng Village
- Kota Baru Village
- Waioti Village
Activity Implementation
During the distribution of assistance, Yayasan PAPHA Indonesia and the CSO Forum coordinated with local government authorities in each village. This coordination was carried out to ensure that the assistance reached the intended beneficiaries in a targeted and well-coordinated manner.
In addition to the distribution of food packages, emergency response support was also provided through several other activities, including:
- Psychosocial support for children at the evacuation post in Waioti Village, in collaboration with the Psychology Study Program of Unipa.
- Clean water support at evacuation posts in Hokor and Ipir, Bola District, in collaboration with the Bola District Government.
Impact / Objectives
The distribution of food packages is part of Yayasan PAPHA Indonesia and the CSO Forum’s efforts to help meet the basic needs of communities affected by the disaster, particularly vulnerable groups.
Through food assistance, psychosocial support, and clean water provision, these activities are expected to help alleviate the burden on affected communities during the emergency response period.
Collaboration
Yayasan PAPHA Indonesia, together with the CSO Forum, continues to promote collaboration among civil society organizations, government institutions, universities, and other stakeholders in providing support to communities affected by disasters.
