Optimizing Holistic-Integrative Early Childhood Development Services in Magepanda District, Sikka Regency, Towards the Golden Generation 2045 (HI EMAS)

Project Descrption

The HI EMAS project aims to improve the quality of Holistic-Integrative Early Childhood Development (PAUD HI) services for children aged 0–3 years in Magepanda District, Sikka Regency. The approach employed focuses not only on health and nutrition but also encompasses services related to parenting, education, protection, welfare, and civil registration, ensuring that children’s developmental needs are met comprehensively.

Project implementation proceeds along two main tracks: strengthening services at *Posyandu* (Integrated Health Posts) and reinforcing the role of the Regency-level PAUD HI Task Force. Both tracks are designed to foster integrated and sustainable PAUD HI services that are embedded within local development policies.

Activities Carried Out

• Strengthening the capacity of Posyandu to provide integrated early childhood development (PAUD HI) services in a routine and planned manner.
• Support for the implementation of Holistic-Integrative Early Childhood Education and Development (PAUD-HI) services, covering health, nutrition, parenting, education, protection, welfare, and civil registration.
• Strengthening the coordination of the Regency-level Holistic-Integrative Early Childhood Education (PAUD HI) Task Force.
• Assistance in drafting and revising the Sikka Regency Regional Action Plan (RAD) for Holistic-Integrative Early Childhood Education and Development (PAUD HI) to ensure the inclusion of services for children aged 0–3 years.
• Village government assistance in integrating the Holistic-Integrative Early Childhood Education (PAUD HI) strengthening program into the Village Government Work Plan (RKPDes).

Project Achievements

• Posyandu have begun providing Holistic-Integrative Early Childhood Education (PAUD HI) services on a regular and structured basis.
• Improved quality of integrated services for children aged 0–3 years, encompassing aspects of health, nutrition, parenting, education, protection, well-being, and civil registration.
• Strengthening the role of the Regency-level Integrated Holistic Early Childhood Education (PAUD HI) Task Force in coordinating the implementation of cross-sectoral programs.
• Establishment of policy support through the revision of the Sikka Regency Regional Action Plan (RAD) for Holistic-Integrative Early Childhood Education and Development (PAUD HI).
• The village government has begun allocating programs and activities to strengthen Holistic-Integrative Early Childhood Education (PAUD HI) services at Posyandu through the Village Government Work Plan (RKPDes).
• The establishment of stronger collaboration among local governments, village governments, Posyandu, and stakeholders to support the holistic and sustainable growth and development of young children.
